This is a Safe Place.

Hi there Everyone, Bradley Ashton here!

This is the long awaited tour of my hometown, Kirkcaldy. You can see some of the stuff that has inspired me, over the years, to pursue a career as a thespian and also learn a bit more about the best city (town) in all of Fife. Sadly, I've had to split it into two parts as it was just too damn hardcore for Youtube to handle. That, and I made it too long. So please, enjoy!

Hope you enjoyed the first half! Here's the second part!

Well, that's all for today. I don't really have any progress to report on Slings and Arrows, but I can promise you that next time, you'll get to have a bit of an inside look at the rehearsal process!! We've got a rehearsal space lined up and you'll see some backstage antics!!

Till next time!

Rejection

Hey guys.

Bit of a depressing post today. I'll let the Vlog speak for itself.

As you can see, I'm a little bit down at the moment. Rejection is never an easy thing, is it? I know that, as an actor, rejection is something I need to get used to, but still.

I'd like to make an amendment btw, turns out the Raul Moat play was not being funded by the SAC, but that doesn't make the pill any easier to swallow. Apologies.

Apologies also for the hiccoughing My Camera Operator was just a bit excited by the letter opening it seems.

Please, provide me with any thoughts you may have in the comments, or say anything at my twitter, @bradley_ashton.

Gestation (Vlog 4!)

Hola!

Here we are with Vlog number 4! This is me taking the opportunity to speak to you guys about my project! Finally, you can see how my mind works when faced with a theatrical problem. So without further ado, here is my short, video-ed synopsis of.... Slings and Arrows!

So what do you think? Any comments, criticism, ideas or praise, please just heap it into the comments thread. I'm really happy with how the show's going so far, and when it eventually gets staged, I'm hoping to film some of it to put on here, just so those of you unlucky enough to be unable to see it live will have a chance to experience me!

You may have read on twitter about my application for Arts Council Funding, and yes, it's true! I'll hopefully have a reply soon, so I'll let you know as soon as I know anything.

Come dine with Moi!

I think we are all agreed that Channel Four's tour de force, 'Come Dine With Me,' is one of the greatest programmes ever made, so in tribute to it, and to Dave Lamb, I gathered two of my friends (Will and Simon, two really great guys) to do our own little come dine with me! Maybe, in ten years time, I'll be on the real Come Dine with Me! The celebrity one anyway! Because I'll be a star!

Enjoy!

Vlog number 1

Finally! We have vlog number one!
Sorry for the poor editing. We couldn't find the editing cd that came with the camera, so it'll have to go up in this kinda shabby form for the moment. In the future, I'll come back and edit this better so that it's not quite as bad! But it's the message that matters, not the medium! Enjoy!

Keep the buzz alive!

P.s. If anyone is wondering, the soundtrack is 'Shining Light' by Ash.
